Miley tested positive for heartworm after her checkup last week. The lab is running an antigen test to confirm. But they say their test has a very high degree of accuracy. So, it looks like our Miley is in for some painful injections. But, she will also have to be a couch potato for about 3 or 4 months because it's important to minimize the stress on her heart and lungs to keep the parasites from doing major damage. Another reason to bring back DDT to get rid of mosquitoes.
